1st Continues Professional Development Coaching Programme was organized by Educational Committee of the Institute of Geology, Sri Lanka (IGSL)

Participants
There were 40 individuals participated in the workshop. The participants were invited by circulating a flyer among the members of IGSL and the Geological Society of Sri Lanka (GSSL).
The Training Workshop
Prof. Tilak Hewawasam, Chairman of the Educational Committee of the IGSL welcomed the resource person and participants and explained the objectives of the workshop. Mr. Mahinda Prematilake made a brief address as the President of the IGSL.
Objectives of the workshop are to
- learn to influence for ultimate career and personal success
- gain knowledge to consistently present yourself at your personal and professional best.
- equip you with winning strategies to reinforce your personality and
- discover and learn about new guidelines to increase your personal magnetism
Topics on personality development, confidence building, business etiquette, corporate grooming, telephone etiquette, communication skills, social etiquette, dress code and inner conditions (anxiety, worry, stress) were cover under the workshop. The workshop was conducted in very interactive ways of lectures, demonstrations and discussions.
